Change LAN Auto-disconnect Timeout

Windows can be configured to disconnect itself from the LAN network after a number of minutes, ranging from 0 to 4,294,967,295 minutes.

Start the Registry editor by typing regedit.exe in a Run.. window, then go to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\ Parameters

Doubleclick on Autodisconnect and set the number of minutes that must pass before a session is disconnected.
The new settings are enabled as soon as you restart the operating system.
